Minister to launch new digital communications network in Eastbourne

This Friday Culture Minister Ed Vaizey will help launch a groundbreaking new digital communications network in Eastbourne aimed at boosting the local economy.

As well as land based fibre optic broadband technology, the CloudConnX service will also offer the town’s business community the added flexibility of ultra-fast, ultra-high capacity wireless based broadband circuits and associated DataCentre services that are not available anywhere else inEast Sussex.

Free Wi-Fi will also be available along Eastbourne seafront to the general public as part of the service, supported by Eastbourne Borough Council.

More than 130 local business leaders and dignitaries are due to attend the launch on Friday to hear how the council-backed CloudConnX network will provide a broadband service so highly featured it will transform

Eastbourne into one of the most digitally enabled commercial centres along the South coast.
