A new hat for our MD – Brighton Fringe Trustee

Posted by Lawrence Greenlee

This week it has been announced that our Managing Director, James Dempster, is now a Trustee for Brighton Fringe – we’re really excited.

Taking to the stage in his new role (we wish), he’ll be supporting the wider team in providing business advice to the charity’s CEO, Julian Caddy. In particular, he will focus his efforts on supporting the marketing team, to help the charity reach its goals for 2019.

In May this year, Brighton Fringe comprised of more than 1,000 events in 164 different venues across the city and attracted audiences of over 596,000. Its mission is to bring artists and audiences together to foster creativity and help artists develop professionally through mentoring schemes, workshops and bursary programmes.

At Cobb Digital, we’re huge fans of everything Brighton Fringe stands for and can’t wait to see it grow further over the next few years.

James said: “It’s a huge honour to join the Board of Trustees at Brighton Fringe. I’ve lived and worked in the city for more than 10 years and have always loved how much the festival brings this city to life.

“Over the next three years, Brighton Fringe hopes to engage with the widest possible range and diversity of audiences, enhance and strengthen the arts community and develop existing partnerships – it’s a really exciting time to join so I can’t wait to share my skills and see what we can achieve.”

Chair of the Board, Heather James, added: “We are delighted to welcome James to the Board of Trustees. His passion, creativity and marketing expertise will greatly support the work we aim to achieve over the next three years.”

Brighton Fringe is the largest arts festival in England and one of the largest in the world. In 2019, it will run between 3 May and 2 June – we can’t wait to see what’s in store!
