The Challenge

To make the golf centre a go-to destination for golf lovers across Sussex. With a slightly older customer base one of our challenges was to make the centre appealing to a younger market.

Initial audience: Retiree’s, Infrequent visitors, Local Golfers.
Target Audience: Teenagers, Students, Sports Enthusiasts, Dads, Golf Membership Holders.

Our Solution

We created a social media strategy that included Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest. To help kick start the Facebook page we started with a competition called #RGCSelfie that saw golf centre users send in their favourite selfies for a chance to win a nine-hole course. This was implemented across all four social channels so users had a variety of entry methods.

We built a very targeted following of Facebook users that were highly likely to visit the centre. There were regular updates such as ‘Guess Who’ and ‘Fill in the Blank’ to keep the followers engaged and entertained. We used various Facebook advertising techniques to increase clicks to the site, the number of highly targeted followers and to promote the competitions/offers.

Our services on this account varied from social media strategy, design, creative competitions and a go-to-resource on up to date golfing news/tips.

The Facebook page currently stands at 1,062 likes and averages at 791 visits a day from unique viewers. Rustington Golf Centre now has four well-established social channels with engaged followers who enjoy checking themselves in.
